White Tara Thangka - detailed painting, 75 × 65 cm

This White Tara Thangka impresses with its particularly detailed painting. The representation follows traditional dimensions and proportion specifications and is even more finely elaborated than our previous explanations. The entire Thangka measures 75 × 65 cm, the painted picture area 22 × 29 cm.

Detailed presentation with decorative fabric surround

The White Tara sits on an orange lotus throne in front of a dark, finely lined ray field and a green halo. A decorated crown, the calm face and a pink flower next to her shoulder characterize the representation. Green robe ribbons and the light blue patterned upper robe complete the carefully executed details.

The dark, gold-colored patterned fabric border with red and orange accents, the yellow throw and the wooden stick at the bottom end frame the painting.

White Tara: Symbolism and Meditation

The White Tara, also called White Tara or Dolkar, is associated in Tibetan Buddhism with compassion, wisdom and the desire for a long life. The seven eyes of their classic representation symbolize comprehensive compassionate attention. These meanings are based on religious tradition and are not a promise of health effects.

The Buddhist picture is suitable as a pictorial reference point for a house altar, a meditation place or personal contemplation.
